2020 ENDURANCE RIDES
With most of the world going into lockdown due to the Corona Virus, the 2020 endurance season came to a halt in Australia twice and with border closures and zones put into place, it meant that rides that were being held were capped at certain numbers and permits were needed to travel! We managed to get to a couple of rides and only had two vet outs for the season. You can check our FACEBOOK or INSTAGRAM pages for ride results.
We would like to thank our wonderful sponsors CARBINE CHEMICALS and SIMPLY EQUINE for their support during the Covid-19 pandemic and look forward to continuing the partnership in the following year!
Also thank you to our team of riders and crew for being part of our team!
Bring on a better 2021!

he 2016 Tom Quilty Gold Cup has been run and won! Congratulations to the Tassie rider Debbie Grull and Lauralyn Notorious for winning this year's event.
First off we want to say THANK YOU to our AMAZING crew - Jan Scholes,Bec Lees, Jeanette Bawden, Roger Bawden, Georgie Parish, Roger Lane and Shirley Sprenger Cheshire for helping us! Next are our AWESOME riders, Mitch Ravallion, Thomas Reay and Daniel Noble! You guys did a fantastic job on a very hard wet boggy track!
Now for the rest!
The week leading up to the big ride was just wet wet wet! But the sun pulled through on the Thursday through to Saturday with perfect weather for riding! The track however on the first two legs was many bogs rolled into one! One the first leg Littlebanks Muscles (Daniel riding) went right down to his belly! On leg two Henley Farm Dawama and her rider Tom found themselves doing a flip in a puddle and emerging covered head to toe in mud! Saharan Hadrian found a bog that strained his muscle and finished his and Mitch's chance at a Quilty buckle. The TQ16 committee were quick to change legs 3, 4 and 5 and make for more safer riding conditions. Many stories from riders coming in off the first two legs were the same.
So we had Tom and Daniel left riding for our team! Both horses were travelling beautifully and both riders came back to base with smiles each leg! By the 148km mark (end of leg 4) Dawama pulled up sore and was unable to continue on!
Daniel and Muscles had 12km to go! The crew all waited impatiently during that time! Then we see this yellow horse prancing and pulling coming towards us on the home straight! Muscles was more lively at the end of the ride then he was heading out with the other 232 starters!!
The crew waited nervously on the sideline until Daniel was given the thumbs up! The boys did it! They passed and earned that buckle and placed 35th middleweight!!
We are so very proud of our crew, riders and horses who worked extremely well! The team proved yet again there is NO "I" in the word!
Thank you to the ride committee, volunteers, time keepers, check point personnel, CS, vets, Lexton community and land holders for pulling this all together!
Thank you to Jess jr and Bailey for holding the fort back at the farm.
Thank you to Saddleworld Albury and ACS Equine Management! Your sponsorship and guidance is valuable to us at Al Jeda!
